Suicide bombers strike near Turkish capital Ankara in ‘botched car bomb attack’

The explosion came after police called on them to surrender.

The two militants are believed to have been preparing to carry out a car bomb attack.

They are believed to be one man and one women, and are thought to have links to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party, local Governor Erkan Topaca has claimed.

The group have orchestrated suicide bombing during the last year in the armed campaign against the Turkish state.

The blast is believed to have taken place outside a horse farm.

Mr Topoca claimed that aside from the two bombers no one else was hurt.
