The Inter Services Public Relations, who run the Pakistani Military’s media, said the missile has given the country a “credible” second-strike capability.
The nation has previously vowed to destroy arch enemies India in a nuclear apocalypse.
A statement from the military added that the Babur-3 was capable of delivering several types of attacks.
Tensions across the globe are rising, with world superpowers including Russia, America and China flexing their nuclear might.
North Korea has also built a long-range, mobile nuclear missile capable of striking the heart of America, which the despot nation has promised to launch.
Last month, Pakistan’s neighbours and fierce rivals India launched their own nuclear missile in a show of strength.
Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif congratulated the military on the successful firing of the missile.

A statement from Mr Sharif read: “The successful test of the Babur-3 is a manifestation of Pakistan’s technological progress and self-reliance.”
He added that Pakistan would always maintain a peaceful policy of co-existence but the missile would go towards deterring any aggressors.
